Merry Christmas????

Well today is like any other day to me. I am home alone with Nathan while Jeff is working. My family is down in Provo having our traditional Christmas dinner. (Very depressing) Tomorrow we are headed to Provo, to have leftovers, but it just won't feel the same. Anyways I hope everyone else is having a good Christmas Eve. I will be posting soon about graduation and the end of student teaching.

It's a girl!

Finally an update! I'm finally breaking out of my denial of having a girl. Jeff has finally convinced me about telling people that we are having a girl. This might sound like I'm a terrible person but I really wanted another boy, that way we wouldn't have to go shopping for pink. But now that we have been starting to shop around Jeff is wishing that we were having a boy. Who understands men? Here are some pics from my ultrasound.
p.s. Keep scrolling down to check out our wedding pics from last post.

Happy Birthday Nathan!!!!

On September 24th my beautiful Nathan was born. It was a challenging, terrifying and painful delivery but it was all worth it. Nathan has filled my life with love, joy, happiness, tenderness, fear, etc. Nathan is the little sunshine that keeps me going everyday. Whenever I come home from school I love when he runs to the door to give me a kiss and a hug. Now, that he is getting bigger he is becoming more independent and needs less of mommy which is a bit sad. The good thing is that he still wants mommy to read him a night story. I love you Nathan! I am so blessed to have you as my baby boy.
On Saturday we celebrated his birthday with friends and family. Nathan loved being surrounded by all his friends and was thrilled that everyone was able to hit his pinata. Here are some pictures to show all the fun we had.

Our life

Jeff has been reminding me that I haven't written on the blog for over a month now. I just don't have time. I have been really, really busy. Nathan and I went to visit my family for the first two weeks of August. We had soooo much fun. I was able to hang out with my cousins and Nathan loved being spoiled. We went to Provo Canyon, Thanksgiving Point, etc. We came back home on the 14th because I started my in-service on the 15th. Monday and Tuesday I went to help out my coop teacher to have stuff ready for Wednesday. (first day of school)

Yesterday we went to Yellowstone. We all loved it. We saw a couple of buffalo's, some elk and lots of squirrels. I will be posting pictures later because I haven't downloaded them yet.

On wednesday I went to the doctor and he says that the baby is doing just fine.I was able to hear the baby's heartbeat. Nathan said that the baby sounded like a horse. We are all excited about knowing what we are having, but we are going to have to wait for another month. Well that is what we have been doing I promise i will post pictures soon.

It's Official!

So guess what? We are pregnant! I have finally decided to blog about it. I am 10 weeks and it has been a roller coaster. The baby is due February 6. We are so excited I am finally starting to feel a lot better. The first month was great I didn't feel pregnant at all, I thought "this is going to be an easy pregnancy." Well that changed about the sixth week I wanted to die. I didn't have any energy, I wanted to fall asleep anywhere at all times. Nathan has been a good boy. He has helped me a lot with cleaning his room and stuff. Although it's more challenging because eventhough I don't want to cook or get up to go to school a little bit of responsability kicks in and have to take care of my house, boy and school.
Now, another semester has ended I only have my student teaching to do and I will be DONE, and then my baby will pop out. Jeff is really excited and has been a great husband, he has been very supportive and let's me nap and cooks whenever he is home.

Happy 4th of July Weekend

I think this was the most fun I have had in a very long time. After spending months of not knowing what to do an always doing the same old boring things, this weekend was full of fun and new things to do. On Thursday my good friend Jessica and I headed out to Rigby Lake. Since my husband is never around at nights because he works and her husband also works at night we decided to have a girls night out (with kids of course) and head out to Rigby Lake. Our plan was just to have our kids play in the sand and then wait for the fireworks. Well everything went well for the first twenty minutes but then Jayden (Jessica's boy) decided to take his shorts and shirt off to get in the water and then Haili (Jessica's girl) tagged along and of course who was next Nathan. But since I didn't have an extra pair of shorts or shirt he had to go in his underwear and white shirt, later on he lost the shirt because he was too cold.
Nathan had a blast he enjoys interacting with kids of all ages and is very gentle with younger kids. He is such a cute and amazing smart boy. I love him to death, he wears me out all the time.
Isn't he cute?
On the 4th Jeff finally had the day off. Him and Nathan went to the parade that was held in Rexburg I stayed home to relax a little. Then they came home to pick me up so we could head out to Porter Park for the little Carnival that was going on. Sorry I don't have pictures of the parade or Carnival I spaced it. This is the only picture I took of the boys playing on the swings.

After Nathan's well deserved nap we headed out to Idaho Falls. They had the Firetrucks, army trucks and police department there. It was so much fun. Nathan was on a weird mode so he didn't want to hope on any of the trucks to take pictures, but Mom and Dad sure were having fun.

I have always wanted a Yorkie Teacup and we found some at the Green Belt they were soooooo cute but also soooooo expensive. We were able to hold and play with them for a while. Nathan kept asking if this was his puppy Jeff and I just looked at each other and smiled. Sadly we had to leave the puppy and walk forever and ever around the Green Belt it was so hot. Then we found Tyson's grandparents house and crashed with them. They are awesome and so fun to be with. We stayed with them until the fireworks. It was a fun and exciting day at the Green Belt.
On Saturday it was one of Jeff's niece Baptism so we headed out to see them. It was great to see his cousins and have Nathan play with his cousins too. We don't get to see them very often because they live in Utah, so it was good to have them around. Later on we went to eat over at aunt Marie's and it was great! We had homemade tacos and then we had Ice Cream. Were so spoiled. I love hanging out with those guys they're so much fun. Well sorry if I bored you but this time I did have a lot to show.

Ward Chili Cook-off

I know, I know it's a bit late to write about our Wards cook-off but life has been really busy. Anyways about two weeks ago we had our first Chili Cook-off. Jeff was sooooo excited about it because he had the perfect recipe, a white chicken chili. Jeff woke up really early that day went to the store to buy his PERFECT INGREDIENTS. As soon as he got home he started chopping onions, jalapenos, cheese, garlic, etc, etc, etc. My house was sooo hot and smelly.

As soon as we arrived to the party all the Nursery-Primary kids had a scavenger hunt. Enrico was reading the clues to them and then they had to go to the room where they thought the answer was. I don't think the little kids knew what they were doing but they sure liked to be running around the church. This was a total rule breaker for me since I don't let Nathan run at church, but what can I say.

In these two bottom pictures the kids holed hands to sing Popcorn Popping. At first they were a bit shy but then they let go and actually started making the movements it was so cute.

Okay so here is the BIG AND EXCITING part of the day. Jeff was hoping he would have the best chili in the world, but he had strong competition Marsha Johnson also had made white chili so it was going to be a hard decision. Well the judges (bishopric) started handing out the prizes and my Jeff was nowhere to be mentioned I was starting to get nervous. Then we hear Marsha had won and we were kinda bum but then they said they were going to hand out the overall best chili of the night and guess who won my JEFF. I was sooooooo happy and excited for him he worked really hard for it, so now he has bragging rights. hahaha I am extremely proud of Jeff he is an excellent cook. He has fed us well!

His big prize! An XX-L bag of Peanut M&M's

So, after a big afternoon of running and eating yummy chili, the kids grabbed pillows and blankets along with some popcorn because it was time to watch "Church Ball" Nathan was not timid at all and grabbed his blanket and laid comfortably. We had a great time.

Water Park

Summer has finally arrived, Yeah!!! Jeff and I decided to take Nathan to the water park this morning. There were lots of kids there for Nathan to play with. At first he wasnt too excited about the cold water but then he didn't care. He didn't like the slide because he said there was too much water. Jeff wasn't prepared to get wet at all but Nathan insisted for him to go and play with the water, so like a good parent he went and got wet as well. We are so excited about all the different activities that we are able to do now. We have made more friends this year and hope to make more!

New Room Decor

Nathan has finally outgrown his crib, so finally we decided to give Nathan a big boys bed. We were not very excited about this because we weren't sure how we were going to keep him on his bed without going to grab toys or more books than necessary. So, much to our dispair we finally bought him a twin bed. I know I'm barely posting this but it has been over two months now that Nathan sleeps in the twin and he loves it. Of course we came up with the theme of CARS, because Nathan just loves McQueen. As you can see from the pictures Nathan loves to pose and show all his cool stuff (that's what he thinks anyways). Enjoy!

Did I mention he loves Elmo, Tigger and CARS

Finally a good night rest, this turned out to be a pretty good picture since it was very dark in his room.
